My Approach to Counseling

I believe that at any stage or age, all people have this in common: we have stories and are created for connection.  While life can be amazing and beautiful, there is a deep awareness and experience of brokenness and pain — in ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.

I believe counseling is an opportunity to enter into your brokenness and to find meaning, redemption, and ultimately healing and wholeness.  This therapeutic process requires courage, authenticity, and a willingness to be vulnerable.

For many, faith and spirituality is an important component of life. If you desire, I can incorporate your faith journey into sessions, exploring how your faith can impact challenges and contribute to growth and healing. I am a Christian, but am happy to work with all types of faith and spirituality, free of judgement or my own opinions.
